Our next flu clinic is on Saturday 04th November 2017.

If you are pregnant, suffer from a chronic medical condition or are aged 65 or over, you are entitled to the Flu Vaccine. All 2yr to 4 yr old children are eligable and will be invited to the clinics.

P1 to P7 children will be vaccinated by the school healthcare team.

Patients will be contacted by letter or offered the vaccine when they attend their chronic disease clinics or routine appointments.

 

 

Self Care Week

We are keen to help patients improve on self help and hope that the following information will offer some insight into that.

 

                                      

  •         Be prepared this winter –take care of those irritating winter ailments
  •         Be mindful of yourself, health and happiness
  •         Seek advice from your local pharmacist on winter ailments before going directly to the GP
  •         Coughs can last 3-4 weeks after an infection
  •         Most sore throats last an average of 8 days
  •         Use A&E for accidents and emergencies, not colds and flu
  •         Activity is key to physical health and mental wellbeing
  •         Don’t run out of your medication this winter – be prepared
  •         Antibiotics don’t work on sore throats, coughs or colds

4. Fever in children

5. Constipation

6. Headache and migraine

7. Coughs

8. Acne

9. Sprains and strains

10. Sore throat
